Beck West is a singer, songwriter and artist who hails originally from the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Born and raised in the Pentecostal church, much of Beck’s musical influence has been formed from Gospel and Soul. In addition, R&B, Jazz and Neo-Soul have influenced Beck’s sound. Much of her musical culture was formed by the experience of being raised in a city that is vibrant and rich with multi-cultural musical expression. She has performed on stages throughout the United States and Brazil, and in her career, hopes to continue sharing her gift of song for the joy and listening pleasure of all who hear her.

Beck comes from a family of musicians and performers who rose to their own local success in the city of Newark, New Jersey.

"I believe much of the potential of my family was not achieved because of the generational trauma which led to addiction, a vice that I know has a grip on many artists. I'm thankful to have made it to where I am today, considering where I was raised and the struggles my family faced when I was a child. I hope I can continue to grow in my artistic career and allow adversity to be my greatest muse."
